In order to achieve
speed-to-market, reduce errors, and eliminate redundant steps in your supply
chain effective scheduling and workflow management is key. Here are some
important aspects of managing time and action:
- Event tracking with real-time visibility into
workflow.
- Flexible email reminders providing notifications for
pending and past due tasks.
- Exception measurement for identifying problems
quickly and taking action.
Aria’s Scheduling & Workflow
functionality accomplishes all of the above and more. The system assures you of
things running smoothly, but most importantly, makes you aware of things that
are not, so you can focus on problems at their source.
The new features can help you
plan and monitor the timely progress in every step of a project, from concept
design to sample creation during product development for example, and also
provide a self- sustained mechanism to manage workflow – tracking scores of
sales orders from raw materials sourcing all the way to warehousing and
distribution – all without requiring your constant intervention.
Here are some of the scheduling
and workflow enhancements in Aria 4XP:
Automated Email
Notifications: Customers are now able to schedule automated email
notifications as reminders for major milestones or alerts for deadlines. These
notifications can be scheduled to be sent to multiple recipients or individual
contributors at specific points within the project timeline.
For instance, you need to send
reminders to designers for specifications to a private label product in order to
meet client deadlines for delivery, or send reminders to a supplier that
materials are due on a certain date. Just include the appropriate email
addresses, comments, and the target date you want the reminder sent (this in
relation to the due date, e.g. two days prior), as a new activity within the
project and the system will do the rest.
New Project Monitor:
Users can now define and view only the tasks that are relevant to them and
easily monitor activities associated with these tasks. The new project activity
template provides customizable color schemes to make it easy to identify areas
requiring attention (e.g. incomplete tasks past their due date) and helps keep
managers focused on the task at hand.
The system provides drill-downs
on the history of each task and an Audit Trail with a new “User Comment” field
that allows task owners to post explanatory notes. Managers are also able to
reschedule tasks from within the Project Monitoring interface.
Support for New Types of
Projects: The Project Details function now supports two different types of
projects: one for the creation of a Style, Purchase Order, Sales Order or
Cutting Ticket, and another where you can define any other project you like. Of
course, scheduling and monitoring capabilities come standard.
